Terminals 1, 2, and 3 (domestic) are physically connected by walkways and share the same simple upper/lower pattern. Terminal 5 (international) is about a mile away with no walkway — a free Airport Transit System (ATS) train is required to reach it.

- Pace regional buses depart from the Multi-Modal Facility, reached via the ATS.
Rail (CTA Blue Line)
- The Blue Line train to downtown Chicago is accessible directly from Terminal 1/2/3's pedestrian tunnels, or via ATS from Terminal 5.
