Who we are
Tern (flytern.site) is an independent flight-search and comparison tool, built and run by a solo developer. It is not a travel agency or an airline, and it does not sell or issue tickets itself.
What Tern does
Tern searches live fares through the Duffel API and highlights the cheapest, fastest, earliest, lowest-delay-risk, and best-value-with-points options. Prices and availability come from third parties and change constantly, so every result is indicative — always confirm the final price and conditions on the provider's own site before you pay.
Booking and payment
Tern does not take payment or issue tickets. When you continue to book, you are handed off to a third party who becomes your counterparty: Duffel Links (Duffel is the merchant of record and ticketing runs under its accreditation; this checkout currently runs in test mode, so no real tickets are issued), our partner booking site at book.flytern.site (Aviasales inventory via Travelpayouts), or an airline's own site. Your booking contract is with that provider, and their terms and refund or change rules apply.
Affiliate links and how we make money
Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you book after following one, Tern may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes how results are ranked — search results are ordered only by the sort you choose (price, duration, or fewest stops), and Tern shows no fabricated discounts, coupons, or 'sponsored' badges.
Acceptable use
Please use Tern for personal, non-automated flight research. Don't scrape, overload, resell, or reverse-engineer the service, and don't use it to break any law or a provider's terms. Because this is an actively developed personal project, features may change or be removed.
No warranty and limits
Tern is provided 'as is', with no guarantee that fares, schedules, or other data are accurate, complete, or available at any given moment. To the extent the law allows, Tern and its developer are not liable for losses arising from third-party providers, data errors, or service interruptions. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be waived.
